Free Admission for Tribal Members

Astoria Welcomes Indigenous Peoples with Free Hot Springs Soaks

To celebrate Native American Heritage Month, Astoria Park Conservancy is introducing a new benefit through the Astoria Access Fund. This initiative offers free admission to the hot springs for all enrolled tribal members. Simply call or email in advance to reserve your spot for a relaxing soak and bring your tribal ID.

Astoria Park Conservancy respectfully acknowledges that our hot springs and park are located on the ancestral lands of the Shoshone-Bannock, Eastern Shoshone, and Cheyenne peoples. Indigenous communities have long inhabited this region, sustaining their traditions and way of life.

Historians suggest that Native Americans have gathered peacefully around hot springs for at least 10,000 years. We honor this significant heritage and are committed to preserving Astoria’s land with an understanding of its cultural importance and a deep respect for those connected to it.

“Astoria is excited to launch free admission to tribal members starting this month! We’re committed to amplifying Native voices, and removing barriers to access is a key step in that process,” said Events and Programs Director Carolyn Worth.
