Children’s Swim Lessons

Join Astoria Park Conservancy and JH Swimming for nurturing children’s swim lessons in Jackson Hole, designed for infants and toddlers ages six months to four years. Our seasonal swim program typically runs 8–10 weeks, with classes offered twice per week in Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Lessons are taught in small groups to foster confidence and water safety, with a parent or caregiver in the pool during every session. This supportive, play-based approach helps young swimmers build comfort and foundational skills in the water.

Each 30-minute swim lesson includes a complimentary hot springs soak for the child participant and one accompanying adult – a unique and relaxing benefit for families in Jackson Hole.

Astoria Park Conservancy members enjoy early registration and receive a 10% discount on swim lessons.

SUMMER SWIM LESSONS- Tuesdays and/or Thursdays

To register, please check back HERE at 11a on Tuesday, May 26.

Trout (3 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old)  9- 9:30a OR 9:30- 10a

  • Builds underwater confidence by practicing bubble-blowing and increasing comfort with face-in-the-water skills.

  • Participants also practice assisted back floats and may attempt underwater submersion to retrieve a toy.

Otters (2 to 3 1/2 years old)  10- 10:30a

  • Focuses on assisted back floats, straight-leg kicks, independent pool exits, and bubble-blowing. Children may also practice retrieving a toy underwater.

Beavers (6 months to 2 years old)  10:30- 11a

  • Introduces water acclimation and foundational skills, including assisted underwater submersion, back floats, bubble blowing, and passing children between the parent and the instructor.

SUMMER SWIM LESSONS

  • SUMMER SWIM LESSON DATES

    Summer 2026 classes will be offered on Tuesdays or Thursdays, and are based on your child’s age. The dates are: Tuesdays: 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11, 8/18 Thursdays: 6/18, 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 8/20

    Swim lesson registration will go live here mid-May. Total price for the ten-week program is $400 + tax.

  • WHAT CLASS IS RIGHT FOR MY CHILD?

    As mentioned above, your child's class is determined by age. *Trout (3½ to 4½ YO), Otters (2 to 3 ½ YO), and Beavers (6 months to 2 YO).

  • IS THE PARENT IN THE POOL?

    A parent or designated adult must be in the pool with their child during all classes. The lesson fee includes admission for both.

  • DOES THE LESSON INCLUDE A HOT SPRINGS SOAK?
