Astoria Hot Springs Will Be Temporarily Closed August 24–September 2
To help ensure Astoria Hot Springs remains a safe, welcoming, and restorative place for years to come, Astoria will be temporarily closed from August 24 through September 2, 2026, as we undertake another important resurfacing project.
During this closure, we will be resurfacing three of our soaking pools: the Meadow Pool, Waterfall Pool, and River Pool.
As many of you know, Astoria’s mineral-rich geothermal waters are at the heart of the experience. These naturally occurring minerals, including calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, sodium, chloride, and bicarbonate, offer many of the restorative qualities our guests enjoy. However, over time, they can be particularly hard on pool surfaces. Constant exposure to mineral deposits, fluctuating water temperatures, and the natural chemistry of the springs gradually wear down finishes, making periodic resurfacing an essential part of caring for our facilities.
This work is an investment in the long-term health of Astoria and in the quality of every guest experience. By proactively maintaining our infrastructure, we are practicing what we call stewardship in action, thoughtfully caring for the land, water, and spaces entrusted to us.
We are grateful for your patience and understanding as our team and partners complete this important work. We look forward to welcoming you back on Thursday, September 3, to enjoy refreshed pools and the same beautiful setting you’ve come to know and love.
Thank you for supporting Astoria and helping us steward this special place for our community.
