Creativity, Connection & Hot Springs
Try your hand at improv at Astoria Park Conservancy!
Join us for a fun, interactive introduction to improvisation, where we’ll explore listening, teamwork, spontaneity, and character development. Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply looking to try something new, this class is all about stepping outside your comfort zone, connecting with others, and having fun. No experience necessary-just bring a good attitude and a smile! After the improv session, relax and unwind with a hot springs soak from 3:00–4:45 PM, surrounded by new friends and Astoria’s beautiful landscape.
Meet Your Instructor: Chris Staron
We’re excited to welcome Chris Staron to teach our first-ever improv class at Astoria! Chris is a member of the Laff Staff, Jackson’s local improv comedy group, which has been performing in Jackson for 17 years. He’s also a former film director and the current host of the Truce history podcast.

📅 Dates: Saturday, November 7th & Saturday, November 14th

⏰ Time:
- 2:00–3:00 PM: Improv program in the Johnny Counts Cabin
- 3:00–4:45 PM: Hot springs soak
💰 Price: $30 per person
Includes a 1-hour improv program and hot springs soak.

What to expect if my program includes a soak
There are changing rooms you are welcome to use to transition into your soaking attire.
Soaking FAQsGeneral property rules
No dogs are allowed anywhere on our premises, including the parking lot and grounds on this side of the red bridge. This is a requirement of Teton County, as Astoria is located in a wildlife corridor.
