Frontline Resilience

May 3 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Astoria’s Frontline Resilience Series is designed to build social support and increase resilience for our frontline heroes.

Critical Service Providers are the true backbone of this community, continuing to provide 24-hour support and services to our most vulnerable members. With a mission to connect the community through inspiring experiences in nature that improve livability, health, and well-being, we offer monthly complimentary programs to over 20 partnering organizations that provide essential services.

A soothing soak in Astoria Hot Springs can help counteract stress, increase relaxation, and reduce anxiety. Time spent at Astoria fosters healthier and happier individuals and a more broadly connected community.

Write Well – creative writing as a healing practice: In this 90-minute workshop, we will experience vital ways reflective and creative writing can be combined to benefit health and wellbeing. After hearing a little about the research into the relationship between writing and health, we will dive into a series of reflective writing practice while moving toward writing shareable pieces for our read-aloud closing followed by a complementary soak.

9:30am- 11am: Write Well with Matt Daly in the cabin, soak from 11:15a-1:15p in the hot springs.

General property rules

No dogs are allowed anywhere on our premises, including the parking lot and grounds on this side of the red bridge. This is a requirement of Teton County, as Astoria is located in a wildlife corridor.
