Fall Swim Lessons- SUNDAYS- Sold Out

An event every week that begins at 9:30 am on Sunday, repeating until November 15, 2025

Join Astoria Park Conservancy and JH Swimming for our eight-week Fall Swim Program for ages 6 months to 4 years old! Small group lessons provide a supportive environment for young swimmers in a group setting, accompanied by a parent in the pool.

Sunday Swim Lessons: 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16 

Eight-week program: $320

Cost shouldn’t be a barrier. We offer subsidized pricing to make programs accessible to all.

Trout (3 to 4 YO) 9:30a – 10a        This session is FULL.

  • Builds underwater confidence by practicing bubble-blowing, dipping ears, lips, nose, and eventually the whole face in water while blowing bubbles.
  • Participants will also practice assisted back floats and may attempt underwater submersion to retrieve a toy.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9a- 10:45a session.

 

Otters (2 to 3 YO) 10a – 10:30a        This session is FULL.

  • Focuses on assisted back floats, straight-leg kicks, independent pool exits, bubble-blowing, and possibly retrieving a toy underwater.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9a-10:45a session.

 

Beavers (6 months to 2 YO) 10:30a – 11a  This session is FULL.

  • Focuses on water acclimation, assisted underwater submersion, back floats, bubble-blowing, and passing children between parent and instructor.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 11a- 12:45p session.

There are changing rooms you are welcome to use to transition into your soaking attire.

General property rules

No dogs are allowed anywhere on our premises, including the parking lot and grounds on this side of the red bridge. This is a requirement of Teton County, as Astoria is located in a wildlife corridor.
