2026 Spring Swim Lessons- Fridays

April 10 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Join Astoria’s eight-week Spring Swim Lesson Program with JH Swimming. Registration goes live HERE on Monday, May 9th at Noon!

Friday classes: 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29

Trout (3½ to 4½ YO)        *9:30 – 10a AND 10 – 10:30a       4 spots per class

*Please note there are two classes for Trout. Please choose either the 9:30a class OR the 10a class

  • Builds underwater confidence by practicing bubble-blowing, dipping ears, lips, nose, and eventually the whole face in water while blowing bubbles.
  • Participants will also practice assisted back floats and may attempt underwater submersion to retrieve a toy.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9-11a session.

Otters (2 to 3 ½ YO)        10:30 – 11a       6 spots per class

  • Focuses on assisted back floats, straight-leg kicks, independent pool exits, bubble-blowing, and possibly retrieving a toy underwater.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9-11a session.

Beavers (6 months to 2 YO)         11 – 11:30a       6 spots per class

  • Focuses on water acclimation, assisted underwater submersion, back floats, bubble-blowing, and passing children between parent and instructor.
  • Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 11:15a- 1:15p session.

Important Reminders:

  • Please email bari@astoriapark.org with your child’s name and date of birth after you receive your email confirmation.
  • A parent or designated adult must be in the pool with their child for all classes.
  • Each class requires at least two participants. APC reserves the right to combine classes to maximize community impact.

There are changing rooms you are welcome to use to transition into your soaking attire.

General property rules

No dogs are allowed anywhere on our premises, including the parking lot and grounds on this side of the red bridge. This is a requirement of Teton County, as Astoria is located in a wildlife corridor.
