Spring Swim Lessons-Tuesdays!

An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Tuesday, repeating until May 20, 2025
Join us for a 6-week Spring Swim Lesson Program with JH Swimming!

INTRODUCTORY SWIM LESSONS
Introductory classes are designed for swimmers ready to learn independently in a group setting without parental assistance.

For children comfortable going underwater.

Focuses on independent tummy and back floats, straight-leg kicking, retrieving toys underwater, and rolling from a face-down tummy float to a “self-arrest” back float.

Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9:00–11:00 AM session.
FRY: 10:30–11:00 AM (Ages 3–4)

For children who are timid or hesitant about going underwater.

Builds underwater confidence by practicing bubble-blowing, dipping ears, lips, nose, and eventually the full face in water while blowing bubbles.

Participants will also practice assisted back floats and may attempt underwater submersion to retrieve a toy.

Includes a complimentary soak for each lesson participant and one accompanying adult during the 9:00–11:00 AM session.
PARENT AND TOT SWIM LESSONS
These classes provide a supportive environment for young swimmers, accompanied by a parent in the pool.
BEAVERS/KITS: 11:00–11:30 AM (Ages 6 months–2 years)

Focuses on water acclimation, assisted underwater submersion and back floats, bubble-blowing, and passing children between parent and instructor.

Includes a complimentary soak for the pair during the 11:15 AM–1:15 PM session.
OTTERS/PUPS: 11:30 AM–12:00 PM (Ages 2–3)

Focuses on assisted back floats, straight-leg kicks, independent pool exits, bubble-blowing, and possibly retrieving a toy underwater.

Includes a complimentary soak for the pair during the 11:15 AM–1:15 PM session.
Important details:
- Small- group instruction is a priority, so space is limited.
- Full payment is required at registration—don’t miss out on this opportunity to make a splash!
- Six lessons (one day per week) cost $210 plus tax, and twelve lessons (two days per week) cost $420 plus tax.
- Each class requires at least two participants. APC reserves the right to combine classes to maximize community impact.

There are changing rooms you are welcome to use to transition into your soaking attire.

No dogs are allowed anywhere on our premises, including the parking lot and grounds on this side of the red bridge. This is a requirement of Teton County, as Astoria is located in a wildlife corridor.
