Celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month at our annual May Hooray!\n\nHot springs are free and open to the public 10a-5p. Reservations are not required; expect a possible wait to enter!\nInteractive Wellness Booths from Teton County Health Department and Mental Health Recovery Services of Jackson Hole\nMassages and Wellness from Medicine Wheel Wellness\nLearn about and sign up for Astoria wellness and critical service provider programs and learn about our Access Fund.\nBee Still: Complimentary Mindfulness Programs for Kids led by Rooted Mind\nKids will explore the brain\, body\, and emotions through mindfulness during four programs:\n\n10-10:20a & 10:30-10:50a\, 4-8 year olds: mindfulness stories\, games\, activities\n11a-11:20a & 11:30a-11:50a\, 9 years old and up: learn about the brain and an introduction to mindfulness & meditation\nThese programs are complimentary and first come\, first serve. Space is limited to 20 kids per 20-minute program. This will take place in the Johnny Counts Cabin. Please meet outside the cabin a few minutes before the program you want to attend.\n\n\nNutrition and Wellness Discussion led by Mary Ryan\, Licensed Clinical Social Worker\, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist\, LCSW-1281\, MSW\, MS\, RDN\, CEDRD\, LD\, Owner of Beyond Broccoli LLC\n\nDiscussion will take place in the Johnny Counts cabin from 2p-3p.\nJoin Mary in exploring the basics of nutrition and mental health that go beyond what to eat or not eat.\nThis is a complimentary discussion. DESCRIPTION:Women’s Health Series \nWith Emily Bodner\, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner\, APRN\, and PMHNP\n  \nSaturday\, May 18th\, 9:30-11a: Mental Health during the Peri and Post Partum Experience: \na discussion to create understanding and inner peace. This will focus on what symptoms you or your family should be concerned about\, when to ask for help\, where to go and options available. \n  \nSaturday\, September 21st\, 9:30-11a: Perimenopause and Menopause:  \na discussion to educate you on the signs and symptoms women may experience as they age. Learn the causes for some of your symptoms\, how to address them and when medical intervention may be helpful.  \n  \nSaturday\, November 2nd 9:30-11a: Body image and Resilience: \nBody image is a common problem women experience throughout their lives. This event will discuss common symptoms or signs people may experience or exhibit\, how to provide support within the family\, basic nutrition\, and external resources to utilize if more help is needed. \nSpace is limited\, so sign up today by emailing carolyn@astoriapark.org \nAll programs are FREE and include hot springs soak after the discussion \n  \nAbout Emily Bodner:\nEmily is a Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a specialty training in Women’s Mental Health. Emily seeks to work collaboratively with patients to create holistic\, evidence-based treatment strategies. She is committed to responsible medication management and has a deep interest in psychopharmacology. She often combines with psychotherapy and mindfulness techniques to help her patients achieve long term success. \n  \nThis program is funded in part by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. \n

DESCRIPTION:In support of Mental Health Awareness Month\, this session will be closed to the general public for Jackson Hole Pride Takeover Day. \nWhat is a Takeover Day? Takeover Days are geared towards partner organizations whose constituents would otherwise face financial or social barriers in receiving the health\, wellness\, and social benefits of our mineral-soaking pools. Through our Access Fund\, we aim to break down barriers community members might face experiencing Astoria. We are dedicated to offering an accessible and affordable refuge for all residents to create connections within our space. \nJH Pride and Astoria believe that affinity spaces are important for safety\, healing\, and connection. That’s why this event is for LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals and their families only.
