Takeover Days are geared towards partner organizations whose constituents would otherwise face financial or social barriers in receiving the health\, wellness\, and social benefits of our mineral-soaking pools. Through our Access Fund\, we aim to break down barriers that community members might face when experiencing Astoria. We are dedicated to offering an accessible and affordable refuge for all residents\, fostering connections within our space.

DESCRIPTION:Astoria’s Frontline Resilience Series is designed to build social support and increase resilience for our frontline heroes. \nCritical Service Providers are the backbone of this community\, providing 24-hour support and services to our most vulnerable members. With a mission to connect the community through inspiring experiences in nature that improve livability\, health\, and well-being\, we offer monthly complimentary programs to more than 30 partner organizations that provide essential services. \nA soothing soak at Astoria Hot Springs can help relieve stress\, promote relaxation\, and reduce anxiety. Time spent at Astoria fosters healthier\, happier individuals and a more connected community. \n———————————————————————————————– \nExploring the outside to help regulate the inside\, led by Dan Roof:  \nWalk around Astoria’s Park: 10-11:15a  \nComplimentary soak from 11:15a-1:15p in the hot springs \nUsing nature to help us come back to a more balanced and calm way of being. If you are someone who experiences high levels of stress or finds it hard to settle down and relax\, come try out some practices that have the ability to bring us into a more calm or level-headed way of living. \nPlease note: the walk will take place in Astoria’s future park on uneven terrain. Plan accordingly with appropriate footwear\, and bring a hat\, sunscreen\, and a water bottle. Participants should expect to be walking for most of the program. \nDan Roof is a paragliding instructor\, ski instructor\, mindfulness and meditation instructor. DESCRIPTION:CAMPFIRE Presents: Sound Healing + with Daniela Botur \nApril 19 | 3:45 pm – 5:45 pm at Astoria HotSprings \nFREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC (16+) \nREGISTRATION REQUIRED \nHarness the healing power of sound & water … \nSurrounded by the beauty of the Snake River and the natural landscape of Astoria\, this experience blends the healing power of sound and vibrational energy with the soothing thermal waters of Astoria’s soaking pools. \nEverything in the universe carries a frequency—including our thoughts\, emotions\, and physical bodies. Sound healing works with these natural vibrations to help restore balance\, calm the nervous system\, and support a more uplifted state of mind and wellbeing. Daniela will guide participants through a 30-minute sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls\, gongs\, and other vibrational instruments\, creating a deeply meditative environment where sound and water together enhance relaxation and renewal. \nThe event will also include a 10–15 minute discussion about vibrational energy and the many tools we can use—through sound\, intention\, and other modalities—to shift our energy and cultivate greater balance and wellbeing. The afternoon will conclude with 10 minutes for questions and conversation — all hosted within the healing environment of the pools themselves (prepare to soak!). \nDETAILS: The organized portion of the program will be held from 4:00 PM – 5:15 PM. Please plan to arrive by 3:45 check-in\, and bring a bathing suit\, towel\, and water bottle. Snacks will be provided\, and alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase on-site.
